Ryumonji is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible with the exception of donations received in exchange for goods or services.

Ryumonji Zen Monastery is supported by dana (free-will offering) of its members and friends. All sesshins and public zazen sittings are offered on a dana basis. (Other related workshops have a modest fee attached.)

Donations for sesshins, angos, and retreats are considered an exchange for services rendered and are therefore not eligible for tax deduction.

Donations can be made by check payable to “Ryumonji Zen Monastery” at 2452 Ryumon Road, Dorchester, IA 52140.

Pre-authorized monthly donations can be made by direct bank transfers from your personal bank account to Ryumonji’s bank account. To arrange for this automatic monthly donation please print out and complete the Pre-Authorized Payment Form. Return this form and include a voided personal check to:

Donations can also be made via a debit card, credit card, or from a PayPal account. Click on the Donate button below. Recurring monthly donations can also be setup through the Donate button. Please note: Donations made through the Donate button will incur a fee equal to 2.2% of the donations amount plus $0.30. This fee will be deducted from the donation amount.
